Katherine Badertscher, CFP®, CDFA®, BFA™
Chief Advice Officer & Life-Transition Advisor
My mission is to help my clients define and achieve what matters most to them Owning an advice-based business and providing financial advice in investment management, financial planning, life-transitions and divorce, my work is to help clients develop goals, follow dreams, gain self-confidence, and grow with new knowledge on their financial journey. While I am happy to meet people at various stages in their lives, I specialize in guiding high-earning professionals, people who are beginning, going through, or finishing a divorce, and life transition from the loss of their spouse. My role isn’t to make decisions, but to guide clients with the best advice and support so they can make the best-informed choices for themselves.
I began working in investment management in 2008, and by 2012, I was also assisting a few clients through their divorce. It was at this time that I saw how separated from their finances spouses can get during their marriage, and I felt that there was an opportunity for me to focus on helping people. Now, I embrace my role as a professional guide for people who are not focused on their financial future – people who have the ability, but no clear path to building their financial future; people who gave up some reins of owning and managing their financial futures; and people whose lives changed in an instant through divorce and death.
I try to live each day striving to understand what God has planned for me and to go through life with a smile and a twinkle in my eye. I grew up in a small town in Upstate New York, near Rochester, as the last of nine children in a loving family, thankful for having parents with high expectations. My six big brothers looked out for me, and, with my parents, taught me the value of hard work. I currently live in Stilwell, Kansas with my husband, Pierre, and our three wonderful dogs. I get tremendous enjoyment in cooking and baking, and in my personal time, I enjoy trying new and challenging recipes; especially French and Swiss cuisines.
